Journey to Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina, the site of the original Trico Motor Speedway built in the early 1960’s and a unique Southern short track where Scott Riggs, Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Jeff and Ward Burton and many other top NASCAR drivers have competed. The film follows drivers, their family members, and track officials who share insights into the challenges and rewards of competing in the minor leagues of the sport during the 1997 racing season.
